Hey there lovelies! Today were going to be talking all about acne, and the different natural ways you can reduce it! We all know that if you visit a dermatologist, they will put you on an oral medication or a topical cream for your acne, so before you take that leap here are some ways you yourself can hep reduce your acne.
Perhaps the most important factor in helping to reduce acne is the food your consuming. The grease, sugar and acid in your diet can cause a total freak out on your skin. Eating as natural as possible helps your body digest the food easier and create less havoc on your skin. Eating your greens that are loaded with antioxidants, can be a natural remedy to easy cystic acne. Eating natural sugars like fruits and nuts, will help the amount of sugar thats unloaded in your bloodstream and that will help keep your pores unclogged.

This is a very important step in clearing acne. First thing is to not use cleansers and toners with lots of harsh chemicals in it, all this is gonna do is rub your skin raw. My favorite acne cleanser is by Philosophy, its gentle on the skin, while still keeping your pores clean. Next is to not keep trying different cleansers all the time, (even if you think one isn’t working). Changing up your cleansers every week can cause your skin to have a freak out, to many chemicals in a short time. Keep your routine simple, with a cleanser specifically designed for acne, use the same product morning and night and give it time to work.

Tea tree oil is a natural way to help clear up scarring left behind by painful breakouts, it can also help prevent new breakouts from popping up. You can buy tea tree oil at any retail shop, sometimes they sell it in the face wash isle or sometimes its over by the essential oils. Mix a few drops in with your moisturizer, and apply liberally to the face, do this step everyday for best results.

Water, water, water, I tell you this in all my natural remedy blog posts. Water is a free and natural way to prevent acne, and reoccurring breakouts. Drinking two cups a day will help clear out your pores from all the left over sweat and residue left behind. It’ll help prevent future breakouts, and if your suffer with dry skin water will help keep your skin soft and moisturized.

Taking your daily vitamin, specifically a biotin supplement will help promote healthy skin, hair and nails. This vitamin will help from the inside out, keeping your pores unclogged, promoting new skin growth on your face, and keeping everything looking bright and healthy. Don’t rely on your daily vitamin to give you the biotin that you need, go to the vitamin isle and pick up a supplement specifically designed for skin, hair and nails. (Take it everyday for best results.)

The two most important things to keep clean are your pillowcases and make-up brushes. These two items can house tons of bacteria, dirt and germs that can keep causing breakouts over and over again. If you suffer from bad acne wash your make-up brushes once a week, otherwise once every two weeks will suffice. Don’t use any harsh chemicals on your brushes, not only are they bad for the brushes, those chemicals can transfer onto your skin causing irritation. Make a habit of washing your pillowcases once a week. For me I wash my sheets and pillowcases every Sunday, I make sure to fit it into my schedule. This will help remove dirt, germs and saliva from that is causing breakouts. Again do not use harsh chemicals to wash you pillowcases, its bad for you to breath in and can cause skin irritation.

Most of us girls wear some sort of make-up on the daily, especially if we are suffering from acne. Trying to cover it up and feel comfortable in our skin can cause us to cake on the foundation and cover up. This unfortunately has the opposite effect, all the foundation and cover up can clog our pores and cause itchy and sore breakouts. Try skipping the make-up for the day or using something less heavy like tinted moisturizer. This will help your skin in the long run, the less chemicals you put onto your skin the better.
