Hey there my lovelies! Today is a bit of a different topic than I normally talk about. I want to discuss different tips, tricks, and ways you can feel more comfortable in your body, and hopefully help understand that you are beautiful in every way. With the holiday season now over (with the exception of New Years) its easy to feel bloated and yucky from all the cookies, fat foods and sugar you indulged in. I know I do! But fear not with the new year approaching its the perfect time to start fresh and work on yourself!

When it comes to weight loss after the holiday season there is one very important thing to keep in mind. You can’t fix everything you want to fix instantly. It’s important to know that this is your starting point, this is what your body looks like now and that is absolutely okay. Coming to peace with the way your body looks now is an incredibly big step in feeling beautiful. You have feed your body delicious foods and now you feel like its time to start eating clean! Take a picture of yourself in the mirror so you know what you looked like at the starting point of your journey. Make this a healthy journey, and don’t let your mind get flooded with negative thoughts.
“𝙸𝚏 𝚝𝚘𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚗 𝚠𝚘𝚔𝚎 𝚞𝚙 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚍𝚎𝚌𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢’𝚛𝚎 𝚋𝚘𝚍𝚒𝚎𝚜, 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚞𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚐𝚘 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚋𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜”
Weight loss has a lot to do with not only if you work out but what you eat. You need to be filling your body with clean healthy foods. If you feel bloated and uncomfortable from all the foods during the holidays, you can start a cleanse to help push out all the toxins in your body. DO NOT do any crash diets, or not eating, if you want to lose weight its important to do it in a healthy way. No juice cleanses, chili pepper diet, or no carbs or sugar habits. There are natural ways to cleanse your body to make it easier to get rid of the water weight and make it easy for your digestive system to recover. Things like tea’s, natural juices, and some fruits are light weight and will help clean your system. Another huge tip is drink lots of water. Most people think that if they have water weight, drinking more water will only make them look bigger. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Your body holds on top water weight, because you have eaten to much salt and its your bodies way of trying to hold the water cause your not getting enough of it. Try and drink at least 8 oz of water a day. This will also help you push out the toxins in your body!

Liked I talked about earlier its important to get your mind and body on the same page. You are beautiful no matter what, looks are a superficial way of society putting us into categories and inevitably trying to make money off our insecurities. Letting negative thoughts fill your mind won’t do any good for your heart and brain. If you feel like you have a moment of insecurity where you feel unattractive, big or not worthy, take a minute to breathe. Stop close your eyes and breath, pushing away all the negative thoughts. Thinks like yoga, meditating even drawing or writing are ways to help with this. Giving your mind a space to unleash all the negativity will take a huge weight off your shoulders. You have to be proactive in this journey to feel beautiful. Acceptance won’t come to you, you have to put in the work. It’s easy to say your beautiful its a whole other thing to feel it.

Another huge tip I have is to not let your weight loss journey, or your journey to being healthy consume your every waking thought. Becoming healthy is a big step but its not the only step. Making weight loss a priority is good but its not your only priority. We as strong humans deal with a lot throughout the course of one single day. Don’t beat yourself up if you have one bad day, again we are only human. Indulge in that food, taste it, enjoy it and then get back up and continue on with your journey. IF you let your weight loss, and healthy eating consume your mind you will not get anything done. If you calculate every single thing you put into your mouth it could lead you on a very dangerous path. Eating disorders start when you feel not good enough and want a drastic change. Being beautiful means enjoying being you not only what you look like.
“𝙸𝚗 𝚊 𝚜𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚝𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚏𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏-𝚍𝚘𝚞𝚋𝚝, 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚛𝚎𝚋𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚘𝚞𝚜 𝚊𝚌𝚝”
Loving yourself is a long journey that you must travel alone. It’s not about what others think about you, its not about how many likes your picture gets, its not about fitting into size two jeans. Being beautiful is about doing what feels right for your body. Nobody can tell you what works best for your body, you have to figure it out on your own. Starting to accept who you are, what your body looks like and enjoying it is huge. Drink lots of water, eat healthy food, workout, and overall treat people well. For beauty is not looks its what you say, how you feel, and more importantly how you make others feel. Lift others up don’t tear them down. No matter how beautiful others may look, everyone had struggles and are going through things. Come to terms with your mind, feelings and body image and you’ll start on the right path.
