Hey there my lovelies! With winter ending, and spring quickly approaching, it’s time to say goodbye to all our winter loves and say hello to our springtime favorites! For me, when warm weather is right around the corner, there are lots of products and items, I change up, and switch out. With spring being less than a month away, now is the perfect time to get started 🙂

One of the first things I do when warm weather is headed my way, is to switch out my face wash. During the winter months my face has a tendency to get overly dry, so my face wash needs to be overly hydrating. When it comes to springtime having an overly hydrating face wash can add more oil to my pores than I need. I always switch out my face wash for the Philosophy Cleansing face wash. It is gentle and hydrating without being greasy. I removes dirt and make-up perfectly and I always feel squeaky clean after using it.

For me, I drink green juices throughout the year. If you don’t, this is the perfect time to start. Green Juices are natural laxatives, and cleanser, meaning if you try and drink a green juice everyday or every other day your body will thank you for it. It’ll clean out all the bad toxins, and help you kick start your weight loss journey for summer. Even if you are not trying to lose weight, green juices will keep your body energized, and your mind alert. A ton of stores sell green juices, just be careful of the amount of sugar in the juice. You can always make it at home, if you don’t have a juicer, a green smoothie will work just the same.

One of the worst things about the winter months is how the cold can effect your skin. The cold weather and hot showers can take all the moister out of your whole body. One of my favorite, things to do throughout the winter, but especially towards the end of winter time is to use body and lip scrubs. Getting rid of all the dead skin is so important, to help with your skin re-growth, and moisturizing properly. You don’t need to go out and by an expensive body or lip scrub. You can make one at home with products you have around the house like sugar, coffee grounds, olive oil and more. Drugstore companies are also selling lots of lip and body scrubs like Milani, EOS, TreeHut and others. One of the most important things to do after using a scrub, and getting rid of all the dead skin is to moisturize. Use a think body butter, and lip balm to lock in all the moister and keep your skin smooth and hydrated.

I am so beyond excited for warmer weather, and with warmer weather brings springtime clothing. It’s time to breakout your t-shirts or pick up some new ones. We all know that during springtime, it can go from cold to warm and back to cold all in a few hours. If you want some new t-shirts, try your local thrift shops. I love thrifting t-shirts, they’re only a few dollars and if you stain them or tear them its not a big deal. I always try and look for funky and pretty t-shirts, they go with everything. You can pair them with jeans and sneakers, or tuck them into a skirt and add a pair of wedges.
Time to put away all those dark lip colors, and break out the pinks and nudes. I love springtime cause it brings with it all the flower colors and new spring collections. Even if your complexion doesn’t work with nudes, or light pinks, try a happier color than you would normally choose. Like a fuchsia pink, a peachy pink, an orange red, or even a lighter purple. Again you don’t have to spend a ton of money to find a lip color that looks great on you. Drugstore brands have just launched a ton of new collections with a variety of lip colors to choose from, that won’t leave you feeling like you broke the bank.

Studies have shown, that keeping fresh flowers in your house and in your site of vision, can lower depression, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness. I went to my local Aldi’s the other day and found fresh flowers for as low as $3.99. Again you don’t have to break the bank to keep fresh flowers in the house. If your neighborhood has flowers, or you know a private area where flowers bloom, you can pick them yourself and put them in a vase at home. You can also check out your local grocery stores, or farmers market to find flowers that are beautiful but inexpensive.

I have talked about the benefits of essential oils a million times. I always switch out my essential oil scents at the beginning of each new season. Each oil has different benefits to it, and over all essential oils decrease seasonal depression, anxiety, and help with your breathing. During springtime I start using oils like lemon, grapefruit, jasmine, lavender and others. Lemon essential oils help with allergies, asthma, boost your immune system and helps prevent breakouts. Lavender essential oil can help alleviate pain, keep your sleep cycle steady, and help you sleep longer, and is a natural anti-inflammatory.
Water in general is an essential to keep your body working properly, your mind alert, and your skin clear. Adding lemon to the water, only adds benefits to help your body function. Lemon water can help boost your mood and energy, raise your vitamin C levels, helps with weight lost, and boost your immune system. If the area you live in gets warmer quicker its so important to drink your water and stay hydrated, to prevent passing out, feeling dizzy, or dehydration.
