Hey there my lovelies! I have been getting a ton more followers, and I feel like I need to do an updated Q & A about me! I hope when getting to know me you can get a better sense of who I am, what my views are and why I am the way that I am 🙂 If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment and I’ll answer! Let’s jump right into things!
Q: If you had to describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?
A: Strong, intelligent, independent, funny, sarcastic.
Q: What was your upbringing like?
A: Without going into to much detail (cause I could go on and on). My childhood and upbringing was genuine and overall happy. I am one of four children, and my parents remain married after almost 30 years. So growing up there were six of us in a house, which meant there was always something going on. I had siblings to play with, and I was never bored. I played t-ball, did dance, went to church and participated in other community events. We lived in the woods, with neighbors every few miles or so, which meant we could run wild and never have to worry about being judged. My dad worked full time so he was away most days, but my mom stayed home to raise us. I always loved that she was home with us, that meant I always had someone there who loved us and I felt safe with. We had birthdays filled with pinatas and candy, Halloween was dressing up, trick or treating and staying up way to late. Christmas and Easter were spent with family and going to church. Overall My upbringing was a good one!
Q: How long does it take you to get ready?
A: In all honesty it takes me less than 15 mins to get ready. I have developed a minimalist lifestyle which means I don’t have a ton of clothes and make-up to choose from. My make-up routine is very minimal, concealer, blush, mascara and brow gel. So I can get ready super quick.
Q: Do you have a big ego?
A: No, definitely not! I am a very down to earth person, I know that I am pretty, but I don’t act rude or disrespectful to anyone because they don’t have money or looks, or things like that. I believe everyone is beautiful, and when they’re with me, they’re always free to be themselves and i’ll never judge them!
Q: Have you ever been in a position of authority?
A: My father owns a restaurant that is open seasonally. Which just means, we live in a summer town so we are only open May through October. During the summer months I run/ manage the restaurant, and I would say that yes this is a position of authority. Just because workers, customers, and everyone else comes to be with questions, concerns, and opinions, and I am there to listen and help.
Q: What music are you loving right now?
A: My favorite band which still remains to this day is “The 1975”. They are a quirky mix between pop and folk. I have also been loving Dan & Shay, Maroon 5, The Fray, Ellie Goulding, Landon Austin, Zedd, Phil Collins and more. I am also a huge fan of oldies, artists like Prince, Billy Joel, Tracey Chapman, Fleetwood Mac, The Temptations and such.
Q: What are some causes you feel strongly about?
A: My first would definitely be feminism and the #metoo movement. If you are not familiar with movement or cause, It is basically a group of women in Hollywood who came out saying they were sexually assaulted by film makers, film producers and other men in Hollywood. I feel strongly about stopping rape, sexual assault and everyday sexual behavior women have to deal with. Another cause would be veganism, I have tried my hardest to incorporated veganism into every aspect in my life. From food, to beauty products to clothes and more. And lastly, eating disorders, I am a sufferer myself and I find passion in helping young girls (and boys) understand that every body is different but we are all beautiful!
Q: How do you define love?
A: Love to me is very simple, its the ability to be there with someone, without judgment and love them for who they are. When it comes to relationships with your significant other, they should make you feel safe, happy, and never feel intimated by your success. They should push you to achieve your goals, and let you know they will be there when you fall. When it comes to family and friends love is always showing up. Even if they say they can do it on their own, you show up, show encouragement and make them feel like you will be there no matter what.
Q: If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
A: Warning: will always give you a sarcastic answer, before the honest answer.
A: Sketching, cooking, knitting, running and working out, blogging, writing in my journal, reading, singing, bike riding, painting and a ton more!
Q: Favorite food?
A: Italian food, I love carbs, so pizza, pasta, lasagna, those things. Also seafood, I love crabs, mussels, clams, salmon, and anything I can dip in butter!
Q: Are you a good student?
A: Surprisingly I am not good student, not a bad student, I just never got good grades. I had a hard time in high school and collage staying focused and managing my time. I have gotten a lot better as I have gotten older. Fun fact, I actually dropped out of hs in the 10th grade, got my GED and went to college early. I had a hard time in hs just because of bullying and not being able to stain a good GPA.
Q: What is your favorite drink?
A: My favorite non-alcoholic drink is the Peach Green Tea Lemonade from Starbucks. If you haven’t tried it, you absolutely need to! My favorite alcoholic drink is a hard apple cider, super simple and doesn’t make me sick or feel uncomfortable.
Q: Do you have pets?
A: My parents have two dogs, Chula (means pretty in Spanish) is 12 years old and she is a terrier mix. Wasabi or Bobbi is a Papillion and he is 5 years old, spunky and always full of energy. I have two cats, that I rescued from under an outside shower when they were a week old. Fat louy loves sitting at the window and judging our neighbors, shes full of energy and loves her hour of outside time. Mavis is super low energy, loves eating and sleeping and that’s about it!
Q: Whats your astrological sign?
A: My birthday is September 8th, and I am a pretty dead on Virgo. I did a whole blog post on all the different astrological signs so definitely check that out!
Q: Turn on’s in a partner both looks and personality?
A: Looks wise, taller then me ( i’m 5’9), bigger build such as muscles, and looking strong. I like feeling protected because even tho I am tall I’m quite tiny (Weight 125 lbs). Personality wise if you can make me laugh we’re good to go. Also being able to be honest and hold an intelligent conversation. Being interested in things I like and taking my opinions into consideration.
Q: Extrovert or Introvert?
A: I am a little bit of both. Introvert because I feel comfortable in a large crowd, I am a good public speaker and am good at expressing my feeling and emotions. Extrovert because I need my alone time to function. I can’t be out with friends all day everyday or i’ll get drained and cranky. I need “Me time” to just relax, write in my journal, drink my tea and overall just be by myself.
Q: What’s a small act of appreciation that you do for your friends and family?
A: I always remember their birthdays and big events. I know this seems obvious but over the years I have had friends forget my birthday and it never feels good. I always go out of my way to get a gift or card for their birthdays, events like starting a new job, having a baby, anniversaries and other achievements!
Q: What is something your parents taught you that you’re grateful for?
A: Make my own money and never have to rely on a man to support me. My parents always pushed me to work and have my own income, and if heaven forbid I get into a situation with my significant other that I am not happy with I have the financial means to leave.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
A: Surround yourself with people, who give you the ability to be yourself. Make sure your friends and loved ones, support you for who you are, never judge you and always encourage you. It can be hard to try something new, try and get a job, or start a life you enjoy, and if you have people giving you negative opinions it can make it that much harder.
